Fire Alarm Warehouse Technician Level I

Mammoth Fire Alarms, Inc. is the largest MIRCOM engineered systems distributor in New England and a leading fire alarm and life safety systems distributor.   We provide complete fire alarm systems to electrical contractors in addition to a robust test & inspection/service operation to building owners.  

MFA is looking to fill a Fire Alarm Warehouse Technician Level I based in the MFA warehouse in Lowell, MA.  We are seeking an energetic, motivated individual looking to build a career in the fire alarm industry. This position is considered an entry level position and is based around acclimating a new employee to the field of fire alarm distribution, sales, and service with potential for advancement.  

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily inventory control audits.
  • Assemble, program, and test custom built to order fire alarm panels and components.
  • Provide customer service and assist customers at the MFA parts counter.
  • Contact customers with updates on order status.
  • Assist with the shipping, receiving, and staging of orders.
  • Acquire and maintain sound knowledge of all product lines and services offered.
  • Maintain work area clean, safe and orderly.
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.


Requirements:

  • Strong work ethic and desire for achieving goals.
  • Good organizational skills with an attention to detail.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Team player able to work with other internal departments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable record, will conduct background and drug testing.
  • Experience with basic electrical circuits and installation preferred but not required.
  • Experience with installation and support of Fire Alarm system and components preferred but not required.
  • Physical Demands Stand, reach, bend, twist, kneel, and use grip and fine manipulation with lifting 15 to 40# and occasionally up to 75#.

Fire Alarm Warehouse Technician Level III

MFA is looking to fill a Fire Alarm Warehouse Technician Level III based in the MFA warehouse in Lowell, MA.  We are seeking an energetic, motivated individual looking to build a career in the fire alarm industry. Candidates for this position are expected to have 2-3 years of previous experience in the field of fire alarm distribution, sales, or service.   

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Technical Support for Mircom brand fire alarm systems and all other products that are distributed by MFA.
  • Performing complex and advance assemblies of products according to established specifications and instructions.
  • Perform installation, repair, inspection, reassembly, replacing, refitting, and adjusting products as required.
  • Provide customer service and assist customers at the MFA parts counter.
  • Assist with the shipping, receiving, and staging of orders.
  • Acquire and maintain sound knowledge of all product lines and services offered.
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.


Requirements:

  • Must have 2-3 years professional experience in the Fire Alarm Industry
